Appreciation of art is so personal that it defies fashion. What really matters is whether your selection is of high quality (we don't do bad quality) and it is as valuable as we state. We guarantee our prices. As far as feeling inadequate about selecting art, forget that! Art is what speaks to you, what moves you. You should hang nothing on your valuable blank walls that does not speak to you and move you in some way. There's so much art and so little time. Your style will speak to you if you look...and listen. Q: But...how do I start? A: Very slowly. You first examine the kinds of art that speaks to you. Go with your gut first. THEN, you buy a couple of inexpensive pieces ($200 to $1200). hang them where you'l be able to look at them every day. THEN, you ask yourself what it is that moves you about this painting? Is it the artist's brushstrokes? The light? The subject? Then you look for other subjects and styles for the same feature. Finally, after you've gone through a few dangerously dilettente-style gyrations, sit down and be honest with yourself. If the painting is about a Hemingway-type character, and you relate to the subject, THAT's what moves you. The reason I love to buy and sell art is I get to change my mind on a daily basis, and I'm always learning. I know for instance, that many styles appeal to me.

2) What if I get the painting home and I realize I really don't like it as much as I thought?

We give you ten days to make up your mind. If you don't like it in those ten days, we'll take it back, no questions asked.

3) What if a painting is damaged en route to my home (if you pack and ship it)? .

We will do one of two things. If we both agree the damage happened in shipping, then we will either 1) refund your money and shipping charges in full, or 2) pay for repair at a reputable fine art restorer.
